1) What these Terms cover
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Pardon Party—the website, app, widgets, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
Entertainment only. Pardon Party is a humorous, secular novelty experience. It does not provide therapy, medical, legal, or religious advice or authority.
US‑only; age 18+. The Service is offered to people 18 years or older located in the United States.
If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2) Who we are
Pardon Party is operated by Polyform Holdings LLC. Questions? Email info@pardon.party.
3) Eligibility & accounts
Age: You must be 18+ to use or purchase the Service. Minors may not use the Service.
No account required: You can buy a gift and redeem a code without creating an account. If we later introduce accounts, additional terms may apply.
4) The Service at a glance
Self‑Pardon (solo): Generate a playful "forgiveness pass" for yourself.
Gifts: Buy a redeemable gift code (e.g., Single, Party Pack, Office Pack). Share the code or link with someone else.
Redeem: A recipient redeems a valid, unexpired code to receive an animated certificate and a light, humorous "micro‑amends" suggestion.
No confessional text: The experience uses pre‑set categories and jokes. Aside from optional nicknames and an optional sender message with the gift, we do not collect free‑form confessional content.
5) Acceptable use
You agree not to, and not to help others to:
- Harass, threaten, or promote hate or violence; post sexual content; promote illegal activities; doxx; spam; or otherwise misuse the Service.
- Circumvent, probe, or reverse‑engineer any technical measures or security.
- Upload or send any content (including sender messages/nicknames) that is defamatory, obscene, infringing, or otherwise unlawful.
- Misrepresent affiliation with Polyform or remove proprietary notices.
- Use the Service for commercial resale without our written permission.
We may remove content, disable gifts, or suspend access for suspected violations.
6) Gifts, codes, and expirations
Codes/links: A gift code or link permits a specified number of redemptions ("allowed redemptions") until expiration.
Expiration: Unless stated otherwise at purchase, gift codes expire 180 days after purchase.
Loss/theft: Treat codes like cash. If a code or link is lost, stolen, or misused, we may be unable to restore it.
Transfer: Codes are intended as gifts. You may share a code/link with your intended recipient, but codes may not be resold or bartered.
No cash value: Codes are not currency, not reloadable, and have no cash value.
7) Prices, taxes, and payments
Processor: Payments are processed by Stripe in production; we do not store full card numbers.
Prices & taxes: Prices are shown in USD. Taxes may be included where required or added at checkout as applicable.
All sales final: No refunds. All sales are final upon purchase, and in any event once a code is issued and/or redeemed, except where required by law. We may, at our sole discretion, issue courtesy refunds for technical errors.
Chargebacks/fraud: We may suspend or void codes and/or access for suspected fraud, abuse, or chargebacks.
8) Intellectual property; your content license
Our IP: The Service, brand, software, and creative assets are owned by Polyform and our licensors. All rights reserved.
Your content: If you submit a sender message, nickname, or similar ("User Content"), you grant Polyform a limited, non‑exclusive, revocable, worldwide license to host, process, and display that User Content solely to provide the Service (e.g., render a certificate, deliver a gift). We will not publicly display User Content for marketing without your explicit, written consent. You represent you have rights to the content and it does not infringe others' rights.
9) Safety & moderation
The Service is lighthearted and not a venue for crisis disclosures. If you nonetheless submit anything that suggests imminent harm or illegal activity (e.g., in a sender message), we may refuse or remove the content and provide general resource links. We do not provide counseling or emergency response.
10) Third‑party services
We use third parties to make the Service work (e.g., Stripe for payments, AWS for hosting, Resend for transactional emails, PostHog for analytics, Meta/Google pixels on marketing pages). Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
11) Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, POLYFORM DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON‑INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE AVAILABILITY, ERROR‑FREE OPERATION, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS.
12) Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, POLYFORM AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO POLYFORM IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR USD $100, WHICHEVER IS LESS.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers/limits; some of the above may not apply to you.
13) Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Polyform from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.
14) DMCA/Copyright
If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice to info@pardon.party with: (a) your contact info; (b) identification of the work and the allegedly infringing material; (c) a statement of good‑faith belief; (d) a statement under penalty of perjury that you are authorized; and (e) your signature. We may terminate repeat infringers where appropriate.
15) Changes, suspension, termination
We may modify or discontinue all or part of the Service at any time, and we may modify these Terms by posting an updated version with a new "Last updated" date. If changes are material, we'll take reasonable steps to notify you (e.g., on‑site notice). Your continued use after changes means you accept them. We may suspend or terminate your access for any violation of these Terms.
16) Governing law & venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict‑of‑laws rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in San Francisco, California.
